Yesterday was a hard day for me. Michael wasn't feeling good and he couldn't really explain why. The doctor attributed it to the liver cancer which almost sent me over the edge. But Michael woke me up in the middle of the night and he was soaked. It's like he broke a fever or something, but he said he felt 100% better! So he went to chemo this morning feeling physically and mentally really good which was a huge relief! He seems to think that his body was just sweating out all the toxins from the last round of chemo. He wants to start going to the spa for a steam bath. Whatever works!!!

I'm so so sorry to hear what Mike is going through. Chris e-mailed me your blog addy. Jerryl I can so relate to what you are going through. I'm doing the same with Bud. He has mesothelioma (asbestos cancer) No cure. Chemo only prolongs life for a short time. So far he is doing pretty good. We have seen lots of Doctors too. Yesterday it was St. Lukes to see his oncololist. I'm lucky to have found a web site that strickly deals with meso patients..But really hard to read the posts from folks suffering with this disease. I will be praying for you guys and will be following your posts. Hang in there and trust your faith. Hugs to you both, Carol.

ReplyDeleteCarol - I had no idea that Bud had mesothelioma! Sometimes I think it's harder to be the healthy one...I feel like I'm constantly on edge and bad news is right around the corner. I have to force myself to focus on the positive and enjoy the good days. I will pray for the both of you as well and hope that your days are filled with joy and happiness. Jerryl
